Club 500

You can join the club by a total of at least 500 pounds to get to four exercises: squat, bench press, deadlift and military press.

Admission Evenings are approximately once every two months organized and take place during the Dynamos training on Tuesday evening. Candidates can that night for each of the four exercises up to three attempts car. The ceilings of the four exercises are added. Is the total greater than or equal to 500, then you yourself now member of the club call 500! For the record total of 500 kg should be achieved in one evening. Addition of individual records, obtained on different days, is not allowed. The results are published on the website and Dynamite. Furthermore, at the site including an update of who is a member of the club.

Technical Regulations

During this evening will leave official powerlifting rules used to assess prior attempts. The implementation and evaluation of the squat, bench press and dead lift we use the rules of the IPF: http://www.powerlifting-ipf.com/Technical-Rules.50.0.htm.

The rules for the implementation of the (standing) military press are as follows:

  1. Participant grabs the barbell with both hands.
  2. After the weight of the standard, he should step back and start position
  3. When he stopped in an upright posture, with legs stretched, the referee gives the verbal signal "PRESS" and the participant may begin the exercise.
  4. After this signal the participant must bring the barbell up until arms are fully extended, while still in an upright posture on the same site remains with the knees straight.
  5. Stationary end position after the referee gives the verbal signal "RACK" and the participant must lower the barbell back and put in the standard.

Reasons for disapproval of the military press include:

  1. Not waiting for the signals of the referee during the execution of the exercise.
  2. Any downward movement of the barbell during the performance of the exercise (after the message "PRESS") before the end position is reached with outstretched arms.
  3. Change the selected position in the detail of the lift, the feet during the lift to stay in one place, with an upright posture with legs outstretched.
  4. Failure to express the weight of the arms are fully extended at the end of the lift.
  5. Touching the dumbbell or the participant between the signals 'PRESS' and 'RACK' by the spotters / loaders.
  6. Touching the standard / power-rack the barbell or participant between the signals 'PRESS' and 'RACK'.

Some further points:

  1. Dress code: T-shirt and shorts, or authorized by the IPF clothing.
  2. The use of wrist and knee supports and a belt is allowed, provided they meet the requirements of IPF.
  3. For clarity, use of lifting straps (eg the dead lifts) is not allowed.
  4. The squat and military press about security are implemented in the power rack.
  5. The order in which the exercise is carried out: squat, bench press, dead lift, military press
  6. All participants give before each round to what weight they want. The order of participants in each round goes on desired weight.
  7. Participants at the start of the evening weighed.
